Smart-Equipped Homes

All participating households are equipped with advanced smart meters and sensors, including energy meters, temperature, humidity, occupancy, and luminosity sensors. This enables precise monitoring and control of energy usage and environmental conditions, offering a robust foundation for research and testing.

Comprehensive Data Infrastructure

We provide access to real-time and historical data through a secure database and user-friendly APIs, ensuring seamless integration and accessibility for project partners. This infrastructure supports data-driven decision-making and enhances project capabilities.

Edge Computing with Mini PC Nodes

Each household is equipped with a mini PC node utilising Docker to enable edge computing. This setup allows for decentralised data processing, reducing latency and ensuring efficient handling of local data while integrating smoothly with central servers.

Plans for Renewable Energy Systems (RES) and EV Charging

We are actively planning the installation of renewable energy systems (solar panels) and EV charging stations in our households. These additions will expand the scope for innovation and research, offering partners valuable opportunities to explore sustainability solutions in energy generation and mobility.
